Sock Monkey Makeup | 2015

Ever want to be a sock monkey on a snowy day? Me too! What a fine Winter we are having this Spring in Chicago. Back to the low degrees and over 5 inches of snow in almost the month of April! Oh Chicago, how I love and hate you at the same time. Mostly love. Read more for products used >>

Products Used:

  • Graftobian Pro Paint (White Swan/Black)
  • Paradise Paint (Light Pink)
  • A mixture of white and pink to make various shades
  • A mixture of white and black to make light grey
  • NYX "Craving" (Grey)
  • NYX "Raven" (Black)
  • Urban Decay Perversion Eyeliner
Oh, how I love this look! This sock monkey was actually a request of a subscriber, and as soon as I read that request, I was all for it! Look at it! What a challenge. I googled and searched everywhere just to make sure that it hadn't been done before, and it hadn't! That made me want to do the look even more. I love challenges, and not only do I love challenges, I love doing things that haven't been done a million times over on YouTube and social media.

One of the struggles that I run into online with requests is that a lot of requests are requested after someone had seen another artist do the thing they are requesting. While everyone has their own way of doing things, and their own interpretations, I am 1000x more excited to do something unique, as opposed to something that has already been done.

Doing new things, and becoming new characters is always more fun than doing the same things over and over again. If you guys have any suggestions of some stuff you have not already seen done, and would like instructions (a video) on how to create those things, comment them on my channel! I read and approve all of my comments manually. No one else helps me run my social media, so if you write, I will always read :) Speaking of social media...

WHAT IS TAKING SO LONG FOR THE DEADPOOL BEAUTY MAKEUP?!

I KNOW, I KNOW! Don't worry, I didn't forget! My room is being redone right now, and I thought it was going to be done today. Turns out, its not! Hahaha! I will be filming the Deadpool beauty look along with the Sock Monkey beauty look before my room is complete (more than likely) ^.^

My First Video (Throwback) | Written 2015

I remember this exact day of uploading and creating this video. I actually started this video pretty late at night. Funny thing is, what you guys DO NOT see in the video are lamps balancing on my bed, towels down all over my bed so I don't get makeup on my sheets (inevitable), my messy finger printed laptop, full of body paint that WAS NOT water based easy to come off paint (ahem), and the general madness that was actually this video.

Nyx Face Awards | 2013

Eek! It has been FOREVER since I last wrote on my blog. Things have been incredibly hectic for the past couple of months now (In a good way, of course!). My fingers are super sore from being poked at the immediate care yesterday ( boo... high blood sugars... ) but I know that I am going to end up typing up a storm right now anyways! As all of you know who follow me on  Facebook , my  YouTube Channel  has been entered in a competition called the  Nyx Face Awards ! I had submitted my YouTube channel to the competition in hopes to make it into the top 30, and I did! I was in complete shock, and extreme excitement! A follower had messaged me informing me about the competition (Good ol' Kristi Jo!). I am so glad that I checked out the link, and that she was so kind as to let me know it was going on! Anyways. The perks of this competition: EVERYTHING. The first place winner will receive $25,000 and a beautiful glass trophy! Of course, there are other incredible perk...

Popsicle Zombie | 2014

Back in 2014 , and still today, I was and am still pretty proud of the shading within this character. This was the first time I successfully to my satisfaction created shading within my cheek (specifically the left-hand side looking at the photo straight on). This was a part of a very small spread out series on my channel that I was calling popsicle zombies at the time. I loved the way they turned out, and I loved making them different colors! This series was also one that another social media influencer took advantage of, which was kind of a bummer. At the time, I thought they just enjoyed my work! ... until they stopped mentioning they even know me. It ended up being a life lesson, people aren't always so nice.  Of course, I always encourage people to have their hand at painting :) That is what I make my tutorials for! There is a difference between recreating and learning, and recreating to steal. It's what it's. It doesn't make my zombie any less pink, or my h...
